In Dubai, an Indian student has accomplished a remarkable feat. With a perfect score of 1600 on the SAT standardized test, the 16-year-old has created history.
All 154 questions were answered correctly by Ahaan Shetty, a Grade 11 student at GEMS Modern Academy in Dubai, thus getting a perfect score of 1600.
In December 2021, he received the highest possible SAT score of 1600 (800 in math; 800 in reading/writing). The tests’ results were released last week. SAT is organized for university admissions in the US.
Shetty was born in Mumbai and had previously received a near-perfect score of 1520.
“I felt I could do better so I practiced some more and took the SAT again. I thought I did better this time but I was pleasantly surprised to get a perfect score,” said Shetty.
After graduating from high school next year, he plans to study physics at a prestigious university in the United States.
He also enjoys playing the piano, sprinting in track and field, and robotics.
Shetty did not study the day before his SAT and believes that there is no shortcut to success in the SAT – or any other exam for that matter.
