Shivamogga: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister KS Eshwarappa, reacting to demands by Opposition members for providing Rs 10,000 cash assistance to the poor, said that the government is not printing money to cover the expenses of such a move.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, he further said that Opposition leaders should not criticise the government when people are dying.
“Have you ever congratulated us for successfully doing something? It seems as if the entire Opposition exists only for criticising. If they provide any suggestions to benefit the patients then we will execute it,” the minister said.
“No one, including HD Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, expected such a pandemic to ever hit us even in a hundred years. Hence, it is not right to speak as one pleases in such a crisis,” Eshwarappa added.
