A co-passenger who came to her rescue pulled the chain to stop the train and helped Deepa and her child deboard and accompanied them in their search for Made Gowda on the tracks. They finally found Made Gowda in an unconscious state and multiple injuries near the tracks, read a complaint lodged by Deepa with the police.

Made Gowda has been admitted in the ICU of the Command Hospital.

It is gathered that no arrests have been made so far in the case.
