Bantwal: GP Prez attacks, tries to stab member over complaint on developmental works

Bantwal: Navuru gram panchayat (GP) president in Bantwal taluk allegedly thrashed and tried to stab a member for asking a question at the general body meeting on Monday.
It is said that GP member Janardhan questioned President Umesh regarding the developmental works and timely bill payments.
Angered by this, Umesh allegedly attacked Janaradhan and also tried to stab him with a knife. However, the other members intervened and saved him.
Janardhan is currently undergoing treatment at the nearby hospital. Police officials visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
