Bantwal: Man locks up wife in room, attempts to burn down house

Bantwal: A man locked his wife inside a room and attempted to burn down the house on Saturday, December 18 at Aripekatte in Punacha village.
A complaint in this regard was filed by the victim’s brother Mohammed Kabir.
As per the complaint, Kabir’s sister, Fatimat Bushra is married to Ghouse Jalaluddin from Vittal. Bushra and Jalaluddin regularly had arguments and Bushra later moved to her brother’s house.
On Saturday afternoon, Jalaluddin came home with fuel filled in a bottle and threatened Bushra. He then set a sofa on fire with the purpose of burning down the entire house. The loss has been estimated at about Rs 10,000.
Kabir who tried to stop him was attacked by Jalaluddin. He has been admitted to the hospital.
