Bantwal: Siblings commit suicide

Bantwal: A brother-sister duo allegedly committed suicide on late Monday, June 15 night by dousing their bodies with petrol before torching themselves.

The deceased has been identified as Neelayya Shettigar (42) and Kesari (39) from Sangabettu.

As per sources, they immolated themselves inside a room of their house. Neelayya’s brother and his wife who were staying in the same house heard sounds of wailing let out by the two who were going up in flames.

With help from locals, they were shifted to the government hospital at Bantwal where they died.

Bantwal rural police have registered a case with this regard.
