Bantwal: Six persons absconding in illegal mining case arrested

Bantwal: Six persons absconding for 5 years in an illegal sand mining case were arrested by Bantwal Police and produced before the court.

The accused have been identified as Bablu Sahni, Ram Govinda Sahni, Amit Kumar, Satyendra Sahni, Saidan Sahni, and Abhay Narayan, all from Uttar Pradesh.

A case had been registered against them in 2017 at the Bantwal Rural police station for allegedly carrying out illegal sand mining at Farangipet, police said.

They fled to their homes in Uttar Pradesh and did not appear for court hearing and

After meticulous investigation they were arrested from Udupi, police added.
