Belagavi: MES activists assault bride and groom for playing Kannada songs at wedding procession

Belagavi: Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) activists on Thursday assaulted a bride and groom in Dhamane village in Belagavi for playing Kannada songs at their wedding procession.

It is said that the wedding of Saibannavar and Reshma took place on Thursday and at night there was a procession held near their house.

During the procession, a few people held Kannada flags in their hands and began dancing to Kannada songs.

MES activists who arrived at the spot began assaulting the guests and also thrashed the bride and the groom. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

A case has been registered.
