Belthangady: 74-yo man stabs son to death over verbal fight

Belthangady: In a shocking incident, a 74-year-old man allegedly stabbed his son to death over a verbal argument here on October 29 night.
The deceased has been identified as Jagdish (30), a resident of Kodekallu, Ujire.
On October 29 around 9 pm, a verbal argument ensued between Jagdish and his father B.K. Krishnaiah Acharya. The latter then stormed into his room and locked the door. An agitated Jagdish banged on the door and broke it open by kicking.
At this time, his father picked up a knife placed on a nearby shelf and stabbed Jagdish on his left shoulder and chest. Jagdish was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment but he succumbed to his injuries.
Jagdish’s elder brother filed a complaint in this regard with Belthangady Police.
