Bengaluru: Two men, aged 34 and 35, were arrested for allegedly threatening an elderly couple at knifepoint and robbing items worth Rs 4 lakh from their house in Bengaluru.

The arrested accused have been identified as Babu (34) and Manjunath (35) hailing from the Raichur district.

The duo reportedly barged into the house and threatened them against making a noise. The accused then apparently fled with gold chains, five finger rings and Rs 15,000 cash.

The police said that the accused were alcoholics and the plan was hatched by Babu, who stayed in the vicinity, after he noticed the woman wearing gold jewellery.

The stolen ornaments have been seized from their possession.
