Bengaluru: Anjanapura locals offer boat rides in potholes in protest demanding road repair

Bengaluru: Locals in Bengaluru’s Anjanapura planted paddy saplings and offered boat rides for Rs 20 in water-filled potholes in a protest conducted against the BDA (Bangalore Development Authority) to demanding the repair of the main road in the area.
The unique protest was conducted by Changemakers of Kanakapura Road Association, which along with local residents, conducted the protest against BDA (Bengaluru Development Authority), demanding repair of the Anjanapura main road.
Earlier, the residents had started an online petition addressed to Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai asking for the Anjanapura Double Road to be repaired.
The petition also addressed local MLA and Chairman of Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) SR Vishwanath. The double road has not been repaired or asphalted in a decade now, the petition alleged.
