Bengaluru: Leader of opposition in the Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah opined that killing is wrong, be it any person.
The Congress leader condemned the barbaric killing of a youth in Shivamogga and said that anyone involved in the crime should be brought to justice. “I condemn the killing of the youth named Harsha in Shivamogga… Government should take strict action against anyone who is involved in the crime,” he said.
Speaking to newspersons here on Monday, Siddaramaiah said that the government including home minister Araga Jnanendra and KS Eshwarappa share the moral responsibility for the crime. “Home minister belongs to Shivamogga. Isn’t government responsible? Aren’t the home minister and KS Eshwarappa responsible?” he asked.
Further Siddaramiah said it was wrong to blame Congress for everything, and added that the party “believes in non-violence.”
“Don’t say it’s Congress or SDPI. Let the government find the real culprits responsible for the murder. Let them punish the guilty,” Siddaramaiah said.
