Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 20-year-old wife suspecting that she was cheating on him.

The accused has been identified as Ajith, he works as a bar bander.

It is said that Ajith and his wife Sania were both drinking together, which led to a fight between the two over her fidelity as he suspected her to be cheating.

Ajith hit her with a piece of plywood on her head, legs and back and then took her to a hospital, where she succumbed to injuries on June 29.  Ajith reportedly told the doctors that she collapsed at home due to epilepsy.

However, the police were alerted as injury marks were found all over her body and the postmortem report stated Sania’s death was caused by a head injury.

Ajith was arrested by the police on July 2 and confessed to murdering his wife.
