Bengaluru: NCB seizes drugs worth Rs 1.5 crore; one arrested

Bengaluru: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday, December 23 have arrested a man with drugs worth approximately  Rs 1.5 crore.

The arrested accused has been identified as Benjamin Sunday, an African National, who is also wanted in two Chennai drug seizures and involved in 2 Australian drug seizures.

It is said that Benjamin is married to an Indian and was involved in the import and export of drugs.

Officials seized 968 grams of amphetamines and 2.889 kg of ephedrine.

It is said that the drugs were concealed in a cavity in three wooden tie boxes. Each box contained 165 grams of amphetamines, two backrests contained 237 grams and 236 grams of amphetamines, and two metal pulley contained 1.811 kg and 1.078 kg of ephedrine.
