Bengaluru Police Seize Rs 14.80 worth Banned Currency from Ex-Rowdysheeter’s Residence

Bengaluru: Bengaluru police have taken Rs 14.80 crore cash in the denomination of banned currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 from the office and residence of former Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) member, former rowdysheeter V Nagaraj (Bomb Naga) in the state capital on Friday. The police raid was conducted on an alleged robbery case filed by a real estate owner.
The police raided the residence of Bomb Naga and his office located in Shrirampura of Bengaluru city at 05.30 AM and have taken documents related to movable and immovable properties worth in crores. As many as 50 police personnel took part in the raid led by additional police commissioner Hemant Nimbalkar.
The accused Nagaraj was managed to escape from the spot when the police arrived on their duty to arrest him. Investigations are yet find the sources of unaccounted cash, documents related to benami properties and others. The police have investigating the case and further details are yet to be known.
