Bengaluru: A 29-year-old Amazon employee committed suicide by inhaling nitrogen gas in his house at Mahadevapura here.

In his suicide note, Jeevan Ambate has stated, “I couldn’t achieve what I had planned. I am living like a machine and I do not like it. This is the reason I am killing myself. Nobody is responsible for my death.”

It was reported that Ambate, a mechanical engineer from Bidar, had learnt of committing suicide using nitrogen from videos on the internet.

On March 13, he had sat on the bean bag in his rented house, used an oxygen mask connected to the gas cylinder, covered his head with plastic covers, released the gas and killed himself.

It was only on March 17, after neighbours noticed an instruction note on his main door, his brother was called and the incident came to light.

In the instruction note, Ambate had clearly stated how to enter the house after his death to avoid being sickened by the gas.
