Biker dies after hitting flyover parapets

Bengaluru: A teenager was killed after he lost control of his bike and slammed the vehicle into the parapets of Domlur flyover on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Parthiban. He was riding his neighbour’s bike without helmet. He didn’t have a driver’s license too. The police said the mishap happened on the Indiranagar incline of the flyover around 3.45 pm.
When he was taking a U-turn, he lost control of the bike and hit the parapet and tumbled down, the police said. “He sustained severe injuries on his chest and head,” said a senior cop. Despite the fact that his parents guarantee he was turning 18 this year, the police are yet to confirm his legal age and are suspecting him to be a minor.
A couple of passers-by rushed him to Manipal Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Halasuru traffic police have registered a case of accidental death due to rash and negligent driving.
