BJP leader Mohammed Anwar stabbed to death

Chikkamagaluru: A BJP leader was stabbed to death on evening of Friday June 22.
Chikkamagaluru town BJP chief secretary Mohammed Anwar was attacked by miscreants near Gowri Kaluve here.
46-year-old Anwar is a resident of Uppalli. He was brutally stabbed three times, sources said. The attackers fled from the spot soon after the assault.
Police sources said that at Anwar was stabbed to death over an old rivalry.
The body has been moved to Chikkamagaluru district hospital.
Basavanhalli police reached the spot and registered a case. Further investigation is in progress.
