B’luru: Man steals vehicles, uses sale proceeds to visit pubs

Police have arrested a 27-year-old youth for allegedly stealing vehicles and then selling them to unsuspecting buyers.
The arrested Shiva Kumar, a native of Srirangapatna used the sale proceeds to visit pubs.
On March 31, Kumar had stolen a scooter belonging to Vijay who then filed a police complaint.
Police said that Kumar was addicted to visiting pubs but his earnings as a JCB driver weren’t enough to satisfy his addiction. He thus took to stealing two-wheelers from temples and parking lots by breaking their locks. The stolen vehicles were sold for Rs 8,000 to Rs 20,000 to unsuspecting buyers and would assure to hand over the vehicle documents to them in a few days.
So far, Kumar had stolen around 14 vehicles.
