Bengaluru: In the backdrop of a mob rampage in KG Halli and DJ Halli in Bengaluru, social media has been flooded with videos showing acts of arson, which range from torching of vehicles, pelting of stones and damaging property inside the police station premises.

While several netizens have strongly condemned the violence that is said to have erupted over a social media post, another video from the same night has gone viral on social media.

The video, netizens said displays Indian culture of unity in diversity.

In the video, a group of Muslim youth joined hands with Hindu youths to form a human chain outside a Hindu temple in Kaval Byrasandra to protect it from being harmed or damaged during the violence.

Meanwhile, three persons were killed and a few others grievously injured as the Bengaluru Police opened fire to control riots that broke out late Tuesday, August 11.
