Bengaluru: Three miscreants robbed a tobacco distributor agent of Rs 15 lakhs in a cinematic style near Nagarbavi Papareddy Palya here on Thursday.

The victim Gopal had finished collecting dues towards cigarette sales, from various shops at Kengeri and had kept the money inside a bag. At this time, three motorbike-borne men, their faces covered by helmets, arrived out of nowhere and surrounded Gopal.

Two of the persons used pepper spray on Gopal while the other threatened him with a gun and machetes to hand over the bag. A scared Gopal attempted to save himself by running towards a provision store. However, the bag containing the cash fell to the ground in the melee and the trio snatched it and fled from the scene.

A case has been registered at the Annapoorneshwarinagar police station.
