BNU to confer honorary doctorates to actor Anant Nag, two others

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru North University (BNU) has decided to confer an honorary doctorate to actor Anant Nag and two other personalities.
Musician/Shehnai Maestro Pandit S Ballesh Bhajantri, a student of popular Shehnai Maestro Late Ustad Bismillah Khan, and Sharath Sharma, from the field of technology, are the two awardees.
Vice Chancellor of Bengaluru North University Prof. Niranjan Vanalli provided the details of the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the honoring ceremony will be held on Friday at Shree Nandini Palace Convention Hall.
Governor of Karnataka Thawar Chand Gehlot will be handing over the honorary doctorates to the awardees during the Foundation Day of the University. State Higher Education Minister Dr Ashwath Narayan will also be present.
