Car crashes into a tree: Two dead

Accident near Sita river

Hebri: A car which was proceeding from Hebri to Someshwara went out of control near the Nisargadhama at Sita river and crashed into a tree due to which two people lost their life on Sunday Oct 6th.

The deceased have been identified as Budan Khan (78), a retired clerk at the accounts office of Nadpalu village and his grandson Sheik Sahil (22), both residents near Sita river Belara. Two others who were travelling in the cr identified as Yusuf Khan and Khader Khan were injured and have been admitted into a hospital.

Incident synopsis

Budan Khan’s brother’s son’s wedding was supposed to take place at Teerthahalli on Sunday. Accordingly, Budan Khan and his relatives had proceed to go for a shave in preparation for the programme. Meanwhile, their relatives had all dressed up to leave for the wedding home and given a call to the men to return back soon.

Assuming that they were running late, the car as driven at break-neck speed, eventually the car went out of control, running off the road, hitting a med bund and finally halting after crashing head-on into a tree nearby.

The injuries sustained in the accident killed Budan Khan on the spot while Sheik Sahil breathed his last at the hospital on Sunday evening. The car is totally damaged and the other injured passengers admitted at the hospital are learnt to be safe.

Hebri police have registered a case in this regard.
