Case filed against 19-year-old for abetting girl’s suicide

Bengaluru: A case has been filed against a 19-year-old student with the Yeshwantpur police on charges of abetting the suicide of his neighbor, an 18-year-old girl.

The accused a resident of BK Nagar in Yeshwantpur is a first-year degree student with a private college.

As per sources, the accused allegedly harassing the victim to continue having an affair with him, despite the girl her saying no. Both the family also had opposed their relationship.

A few days ago the accused went near the victim’s house and smashed the bedroom windowpane and threatened her with dire consequences. He then shouted at her saying it was better she hanged herself. Unfortunately the same night, the victim hanged herself from the ceiling.
