Chitradurga: At least 5 killed in KSRTC bus-lorry collision on NH-450A

Chitradurga: At least 5 persons, including a 5-year-old child, were killed in a horrific accident involving a KSRTC bus and a lorry on National Highway 450A near Gollahalli of Hiriyur Taluk on Monday early morning.
The deceased have been identified as Parvathamma (45) a resident of Bengaluru, Ramesh (40) from Muski in Raichur district, Ravi (23) from Alapura in Raichur, Mabamma (35) from Raichur, and the boy Narasanna (5) from Manvi.
More than 9 passengers traveling on the KSRTC bus were seriously injured and have been rushed to the Chitradurga District Hospital. it is gathered that the others who sustained injuries have been taken to hospitals in Aimangala, Hiriyur, and Challakere.
The KSRTC bus was reportedly carrying 51 passengers from Raichur to Bengaluru when the crash took place. Following the accident, the lorry driver fled from the spot with the vehicle.
Aimangala police have launched an investigation into the accident.
