Clicking photos with people won’t solve problems: Cong leader on CM’s Grama Vastavya prog

Mandya: In yet another embarrassment for the state coalition government, Congress leader N Cheluvarayaswamy on Sunday accused chief minister Kumaraswamy of trying to gain popularity with “Grama Vastavya” programme rather than focusing on development works.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Cheluvarayaswamy said posing with people for photographs would not solve their problems nor it would undo the damage caused by Kumaraswamy to his position in the last one year.

“The chief minister must introduce pro-people programmes rather than indulge in political gimmicks,” he said.

Reacting to Transport Minister D C Thammanna outburst blaming the voters for Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s defeat in Lok Sabha elections, Cheluvarayaswamy said that senior leaders too tasted defeat in the election but no one behaved like Thammanna.

“JD(S) leaders are under depression owing to the defeat in the polls,” he added.
