Compol felicitates traffic cop who filled potholes on road

Mangaluru: Mangaluru City police commissioner Dr P S Harsha on Monday felicitated traffic constable Puttarama of traffic East police station who went beyond the call of his duty and lending a helping hand to fill up the potholes on the Bunts Hostel road.
Taking to twitter Dr P S Harsha wrote, “Felicitated traffic constable Puttarama of traffic east ps who went beyond the call of his duty and filled potholes in public interest… PROUD of him.”
On Saturday. November 2 traffic constable Puttarama of Kadri East police station earned the appreciation of the general public for going beyond his call of duty and lending a helping hand to fill up the potholes on the Bunts Hostel road here.
In a video of the act that has gone viral, the constable Puttarama is seen filling the potholes on the road by unloading mud from a lorry.
City police commissioner Dr P S Harsha too has lauded the constable and called him ‘hero of the day’.
Notably, the incident took place on the same day that the commissioner suspended a head constable of Kadri East police station allegedly for taking bribes and warned of action against anyone involved in illegal activities.
