Compol seeks report for deputing pregnant policewoman on bandobast duty

Mangaluru: A heavily pregnant policewoman, who should have ideally been on maternity leave was deputed for security duty during DCM Ashwath Narayan’s visit to the district on Friday, October 25.
A photo of the on-duty pregnant policewoman posted on the social media and a journalist brought this to the notice of city Police commissioner Dr Harsha P S.
Expressing that the policewoman should have been on maternity leave, Dr Harsha sought an explanation from the Circle Inspector (CI) of Mulky on why she was deputed for bandobast duty. He also directed the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Mangaluru North division to look into this matter.
