Covid 19: DK, Udupi report 27 cases; K’taka tally rises to 2922

Bengaluru: A total of 141 positive cases has been confirmed in Karnataka on Saturday, May 30 taking the tally of infected persons to 2922 in the state.

A total of 141 new cases, including 90 interstate travellers has been confirmed in the state on Saturday, the health department said.

The number of active cases in Karnataka stands at 1874. With 103 discharges today the number of those who recovered from the infection rose to 997.

District-wise Bengaluru accounted for 33 cases, 18 cases in Yadagir, 14 cases in Dakshina Kannada, 13 positive cases each in Hassan and Udupi, 11 cases in Vijayapura, 10 cases in Bidar, six in Shivamogga, four each in Haveri and Davangere, three cases in Kolara, two cases each in Kalaburagi, Mysuru, Dharwad, and Uttara Kannada one case each in Belagavi, Chitradurga, Tumkuru and Bengaluru Rural.

Meanwhile a 47-year-old patient from Bidar succumbed to the infection. The death toll .n the state due to coronavirus is 49,
