Covid-19: Journalists practice social distancing in M’luru

Mangaluru: The journalists in Mangaluru are practicing social distancing to break the chain of the novel coronavirus. n the absence of a vaccine, social distancing has become the most important way to flatten the curve and break the virus’s chain of transmission.
On Thursday, March 26 during District in-charge minister Srinivas Pojjary’s press meet the journalists who attended the press have set an example by sitting few meters apart from each other.
Meanwhile, the Mangaluru press club is distributing 25 kg rice and 5 kg wheat to the journalists of the district.
The journalists have been working despite the lockdown and their dedication and willingness to put their own safety at risk should be lauded.
The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic continues to spread around the world. As of today, more than 450,000 total cases of infection have been recorded globally, with the actual number likely being much higher due to the lack of sufficient testing. More than 20,000 of those infected have died, according to the latest statistics, with the total number of infections and the death rate both continuing to rise exponentially.
