COVID-19: Udupi dist to seal borders for 14 days, says DC Jagadeesha

Udupi: Amid rising COVID-19 cases in the Udupi, Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh on Tuesday, July 14 announced that all the district borders will be sealed down for July 15.

“Interdistrict travelers will not be allowed to enter Udupi for 14 days starting from 8 pm tomorrow (July, 15), however, we won’t be imposing complete lockdown in the district,” informed Jagadeesh.

The decision was taken in the meeting held at the DC office today.

Kundapur MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty, Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar, Udupu MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty and other were present.
