Dist admin permits marriage ceremonies in homes with 25 attendees

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district administration has issued an order granting permission to hold marriages with the participation of 25 persons including family members and close ones within homes.
The district administration said in its order that the marriages cannot be performed in marriage halls or other auditoriums.
The order stated that permission has to be obtained from the PDO or concerned officials of the city corporation.
Permissions can be sought by enclosing invitations along with applications. Passes will be issued on the basis of the applications, and only those holding the passes will be allowed to participate in the marriage ceremonies, the order said.
Those who violate the COVID guidelines will be punished, stated the order.
