Udupi: Parents should not put unnecessary pressure on children, said Jaimala, Minister for Women and Child Development, said on Saturday, September 15th. She was speaking after distributing prizes to children who had participated in various competitions during the Sri Krishna Janmashtami at Rajangana here.

The district in-charge Minister said that children should be allowed to develop according to their wishes. Every child had its own dreams and aspirations. Parents should not impose their dreams and expectations on their children. Parents should encourage the children in their chosen field. This would help the children to achieve their optimum, said the minister.
