New Delhi: The central government’s Subject Expert Committee (SEC) has denied approval to Dr Reddy’s Laboratories for conduct of Phase 3 trials of Russia’s COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik Light in India.
The SEC did not consider Dr Reddy’s application seeking to conduct final trials of the Covid-19 vaccine as it did not find any scientific basis to conduct phase-3 trials, stated sources.
After launching Sputnik V, Russia had introduced Sputnik Light, a one shot vaccine in May. It is yet to be approved in India.
