Dramatist falls to his death from a bus in Karkala

Karkala: A dramatist, who fell from a bus near Hiriyadka junior college and sustained grievous injuries on Monday May 14th, breathed his last on Tuesday May 15th.

The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar (57) from Perdoor Kunjadakatte. He was a civil contractor by profession and also a gifted dramatist. He was popular for his skilful portrayal of various characters.

The deceased was on his way from Udupi to Perdoor in a bus on Monday evening. En route, the bus driver applied sudden brakes resulting in Vijay losing his balance and fall out of the bus. The deceased sustained serious head injuries and was admitted to Manipal hospital.
