Byndoor: Fight erupts between two teams during fish auction in Koderi, Kirubunder. The fight was between Nadadoni Fishermen’s Association and the Kirmanjeshwara Kodiri team. The reason for the clash being the permission given by Fisheries department to conduct fish auction in the area

Earlier, Locals and Fishermen of the area had protested against the inadequate work of the Fisheries and Ports Department at Koderi port which had caused problems to the fishermen of Kirimanjeshwara village

They claim that the construction of the fish auction yard on the narrow seabed on the west side of Koderi is completely unscientific. There is no basic infrastructure here. Also, there is no bridge for the fishermen of Koderi to go to the other side.

Locals claim that Koderi fishermen are facing a problem due to the negligence of the authorities. The fishermen had demanded that the auction shall not be allowed without any basic infrastructure facilities.
