Flood compensation in A and B category: Basavaraj Bommai

Mangaluru: Chief Minister Yeddyurappa has conducted video conference with the officials of the affected districts. Decision has been taken to provide the compensation as per previously used method, informed home minister Basavaraj Bommai speaking to reporters in Mangaluru on Thursday.

Close to 5,000 houses have been damaged and the compensation will be given to A and B category. Rs 5 lakh compensation will be given to houses which have been completely destroyed and partially damaged houses will be given a compensation of Rs 50,000. Crops throughout the district have been damaged due to the rain. We will provide compensation to everyone, assured the home minister.

Hubballi railway station explosion

Speaking about the explosion at Hubballi railway station the minister said, In connection to the finding of the lemon styled bomb explosion on Amaravati express train, we have got in contact with Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra police. The case is being investigated. Only after the investigation the doubt concerning any connection to terrorist organization will be clarified, he explained.
