After a stunning video of him spitting on a woman’s head went viral on social media, popular hairstylist Jawed Habib created uproar.

A woman is seen on the stage in the video sitting in a salon chair. Habib is seen getting ready to trim her hair and giving hair care advice.

“Mere baal gande hain. Gande kyun hain? Kyunki shampoo nahi lagaya hai (My hair are dirty. Why are they dirty? Because I have not used shampoo),” Habib says in the video.

Further continuing, “Dhyan se suno… Agar pani ki kami hai na (Listen carefully… If you don’t have water),” Habib says and then spits on the woman’s head. He adds, “Abe is thook me jaan hai (Hey, this spit has life).”

The audience can be heard clapping and encouraging Habib’s actions. The woman, on the other hand, seemed troubled.

The footage was allegedly filmed at a training event in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The exact day the video was shot is unknown.

The woman in the video has been identified as Pooja Gupta.

Following the event, a video of Gupta leaked online. Gupta stated she is from Baraut and owns the Vanshika Beauty Parlour shop.

She said, “Kal maine ek seminar attend kiya. Jawed Habib sir ka. Aur unhone on the stage mujhe haircut ke liye inivte kiya. Aur unhone itna misbehave kiya ki unhone ye dikhaya ki agar pani na ho to aap apne thook se bhi haircut karwa sakte ho (I attended a seminar of Jaweb Habib sir yesterday. He invited me on stage for a haircut. He misbehaved. He showed that if you don’t have water, you can use spit).”

She further added, “Maine vo haircut nahi karaya. Mai apne gali ke nukkad ke naai se baal katwa lung par kabhi Jawed Habib se nahi. (I did not get the haircut. I’ll get a haircut from a roadside hairdresser but not Jawed Habib).”
