Haj pilgrimage: A senior citizen from M’luru dies

Mangaluru: A senior citizen from Mangaluru died during his Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca on Monday, August 13. The deceased is identified as M M Bawa (70), a resident of Shediguri near Baikampady had left for Mecca in Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, three weeks back.
Bawa started facing health complications when performing ‘Jamarat,’ the ceremony where stones are thrown at three pillars which represent devil. He was admitted to King Fahad hospital in Mecca but his health started worsening and he breathed his last at 3:30pm on Monday.
He will be laid to rest in Mecca.
