Hijab row: Compol issues clarification on fake news circulating on social media

Mangaluru: Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar on Monday, February 14 issued a clarification on fake news being circulated on social media regarding reputed Institutes of Mangaluru.

“Some videos are making rounds on social media which has a content reflecting issues of Hijab and saffron shawl. These incidents have been reported in different parts of the state and not in Mangaluru,” he clarified.

He further requested the parents and students not to share any false news without clarifying it.

“There is complete peace and harmony in the district and I request people to not spread any false news,” he said.
