Hike in toll prices at Hejamadi after merger with Surathkal toll gate from Dec 1

Mangaluru: Toll prices to go up after the merger of Surathkal toll gate with another plaza at Hejamadi from December 1.

Toll prices for the Surathkal toll plaza will now be charged at Hejamadi Toll plaza by adding toll fees for both the stretches and present user fee rates.

The Gazette notification dated November 24, 2022 read: “Based on the continuous request/demand by Government of Karnataka, local public/VIP references, the Competent Authority has accorded Approval for the merger of Surathkal Toll plaza @ Km. 358.042 (near NITK, Campus on NH-66) of New Mangalore Port Road Connectivity with adjacent Hejamadi Toll Plaza @ Km. 347.180 of NH-66 falling under BOT(Toll) project of Concessionaire, M/s Navayuga Udupi Tollway Pvt. Ltd”

 After a long protest, the government on November 11 decided to withdraw toll collection at Surathkal.
