Determined to appear for her Intermediate examinations, a woman from Bihar is said to have rushed to the examination centre barely hours after giving birth to a girl child.
On Monday late night, the lady, Kusum began experiencing labour pain and was rushed to the referral hospital where she gave birth to a girl child on Tuesday morning. Hours later, she expressed her desire to appear for the scheduled geography exam paper.
Seeing her dedication and determination, the doctors at the hospital discharged her after duly examining the mother and the newborn.
Her husband, Malik Rai accompanied her to the examination centre and attended to the newly-born till she finished her papers.
“Girls like Kusum are becoming a source of inspiration for others in rural Bihar,” said her husband.
