Hunsur: Security tightened in preparation for Hanuma Jayanti celebrations

Hunsur: Police have tightened security arrangements as a precautionary measure in view of the Hanman Jayanti Shobhayatra to be held here.
Police conducted a route march on Tuesday evening, in which more than 2,000 policemen and women marched on the streets of the town under the command of South Zone IGP Praveen Madhukar Pawar.
The march proceeded from the city’s taluk stadium, J.L.B. Road, Ganeshnagudi Street, Bus Stand Road, Gokul Road, Shabbir Nagar, Kalpataru Circle, and concluded at the DySP’s office.
The police have arranged tight security all over the city and have taken precautions to prevent any untoward incident. Eight check posts have been opened and vehicles are being inspected.
Surveillance of Social Networks: A mobile command vehicle has arrived for surveillance against those who are spreading fake news on social networking sites.
Holiday for schools and colleges today: On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti Shobhayatra, District Collector Dr. Rajendra has declared a holiday for schools and colleges of Hunsur city on Wednesday, December 7.
