
HV likely to be allowed through Shiradi ghat from Aug 17

Mangaluru: The section of the highway on Shiradi ghat that suffered landslide hampering vehicular traffic has been cleared and repaired and could be opened for heavy vehicles from August 17 onwards.
DC Dr Rajendra KV said that he is coordinating with his counterpart in Hassan district regarding it and is likely to issue an order regarding this on August 16.
Light vehicles were allowed through the ghat from August 13 after initial repair works.
