Illegal sand mining: Police seize 16 boats

Mangaluru: As many as 16 boats engaged in illegal sand mining were confiscated by the Ullal police on Wednesday, October 24.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police personnel led by Ullal station officer Gopikrishna conducted raids at the spot near Talapady on the outskirts of the city and seized the boats and the illegally stored sand.
A case has been registered.
