New Delhi: The Indian Army on Monday tweeted that its expedition team had sighted footprints of the mythical beast ‘Yeti’, also known as the “abominable snowman”, near Makalu Base Camp in Eastern Nepal.

Sharing images of the mysterious footprints measuring 32X15 inches, the Indian Army in a tweet added hat the elusive snowman has only been sighted in the Makalu-Barun National Park in the past.

The footprints of the “mythical beast” were discovered on April 9, the army claimed.

In folklore, the Yeti, also known as the abominable snowman is an ape-like creature said to inhabit the Himalayas, though its existence has remained unproven.
