Bengaluru: The mood around the 38 counting centres in the State is tense as supporters of parties have thronged the centres and are raising slogans in accordance with the results announced. While Siddaramaiah has already trailed behind in Chamundeshwari, he is leading in Badami with a margin of 1227 votes against Sreeramulu from BJP.

In Tumakuru, the JD(S) is leading with N. Govindaraju securing 3,794 votes, followed by BJP candidate G.B. Jyothi Ganesh with 2,478 votes. JD(S) is leading in Srirangapatna with Ravindra Srikantaiah at the forefront leading by 2500 votes. Candidates of the JD(S) are leading in many other seats- H.D. Revanna in Holenarsipur, Ashwin Kumar in T. Narsipura, K.M. Shivalinge Gowda in Arasikere and Somanagouda Managuli in Basavanabagewadi.

Congress seems to be facing ups and downs with its candidates being a cat on the wall with respect to the results. Priyank Kharge is leading in Chittapur by 469 votes, P.T. Parmeshwar Nail is leading in Hadagali and E. Tukaram in Sandur. But on the other hand, Revenue Minister Kagodu Thimmappa is trailing behind BJP’s H. Halappa in Sagar and Minister B. Ramanath Rai is trailing behind BJP’s Rajesh Naik in Bantwal.
