‘Don’t want symbolic participation’: JDU chief declines BJP offer for one Cabinet berth

New Delhi: Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar informed that nobody from his party will feature in the council of ministers.

His comment came in the backdrop of reports that his party had been offered one cabinet berth in the Modi government.

Speaking to reporters just before heading to Rashtrapati Bhavan for the swearing in Nitish Kumar confirmed having declined the BJP offer stating that his party didn’t want any kind of symbolic participation in this government.

“We wholeheartedly support the NDA government. I have talked to Amit Shah ji and there is no confusion between us,” he said.
