Kadaba: Two arrested after pedestrian hit by cattle transporting vehicle

Kadaba: The police have swiftly acted to arrest two individuals following a fatal road accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian.
The victim, identified as Vithala Rai, was crossing the road near Mardhala Nekkittadka when he was hit by a Maruti 800 car. The vehicle, reportedly transporting illegal cattle from Subrahmanya to Kadaba, fled the scene after the collision, leaving Rai fatally injured.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when Rai halted his car at Mardhala. Following the collision, the accused abandoned the car on the Nekkittadka inner road and proceeded to tie the cattle in an adjacent garden before fleeing the scene. Kadaba police launched an immediate investigation into the matter and registered a case.
In response to the tragic event, pro-Hindu organizations staged protests late into the night, blocking the Uppinangadi-Subrahmanya State Highway in Kadaba.
Sulya MLA Bhagirathi Murulya, Belthangadi MLA Harish Poonja, Hindu leader Arun Puttila, and BJP Sulya Mandal President Venkat Valalambe visited the protest site to show support.
District Superintendent of Police CB Rishyant arrived at the scene during the night to address the protestors, assuring them of swift action and the arrest of the accused. As a result, the protest was dispersed, with a deadline set for the following afternoon for the apprehension of the culprits.
In a development the next morning, the police successfully arrested two suspects, continuing their investigation into the incident.
