Kannada movie “Pinki Elli?” wins 2 awards at OIFFA

Kannada movie “Pinki Elli?” has won two awards at the Ottawa Indian Film Festival Awards in Canada held between June 21-26.

Prithvi Konanur, the film’s director and screenplay writer, won the award for Best Screenplay while the festival jury’s special award went to actress Akshatha Pandavapura.

A few months ago, the film won the Best Screenplay and Best Actress awards at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Talking about the film being praised at international film festivals, the movie’s producer Krishna Gowda said, “Our movie has already been selected for the international film festivals in Kolkata, Mumbai, Kerala and Jaipur. Now it’s brought more happiness to us to learn that the movie is winning awards at international film festivals. We are proud to be the first Kannada film to win an award in Ottawa.”
